PROSPEROUS LIVING 2

Joshua 1:3-9 (NIV)
"I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses. Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates—all the Hittite country—to the Mediterranean Sea in the west. No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you...”
When God speaks, He will accomplish what he promises. What did the Joshua Generation do differently that made them prosperous?
a. They lived by the promise
When they went to spy the Promised Land and found giants, they still stood by the promise that the Lord had given them even if the physical circumstances seemed insurmountable.
b. They were a conquering generation
When the Israelites wanted water in the desert, Moses gave them water however, Joshua asked them to dig wells. The Joshua generation learnt to possess the land no matter what and you have to be the same in your life.
c. They were prepared for battle
You need to understand that the fight we have is not against flesh and blood so it is important to always put on the full armor of God. Feed yourself with the Word of God as you have to be prepared for battle both spiritually and physically.
d. They were led by fire & cloud
Learn to obey God in your life and He will give you divine protection and provision like he did to the Israelites. He provided Manna for food and the fire provided light and warmth in the desert.
If you observe the above, you can be sure that the Lord will make you prosperous and you will not miss the Promised Land which in this day and age is heaven – every believer’s ultimate goal.
